Billy Troy has compiled an extensive and exciting career in the entertainment industry, starting with the influence of his father, legendary Hall of Fame Dobro player Uncle Josh Graves who played with Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs as one of the Foggy Mountain Boys. Billy spent every Friday & Saturday night of his youth standing backstage at The Grand Ole Opry watching his dad perform for massive crowds. Watching those performances helped create the type of entertainer Billy is today. Billy also stood in the coveted spot singing for Opry audiences and was honored to be introduced by Mr. Roy Acuff himself. The encores and standing ovations he received after those performances remain as some of the most memorable times of his life as an entertainer. Because of the impact of these childhood experiences, Billy penned a musical play documenting the times he spent backstage with his father titled “Backstage Memories.”
Billy Troy’s success as a Nashville songwriter and music producer have garnered him several Grammy nominations plus a Grammy Finalist nod for his production work in bluegrass & country music. His creative production of the classic song “Sleigh Ride” from his CD “Pickin’ On Christmas” was also featured in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
A Billy Joel Tribute Show is just another of Billy Troy’s many talents. This show-stopping performance is a high energy, exciting tribute to one of the world’s greatest singer songwriters.
Billy Troy has performed an array of venues all over the United States, Canada, Germany & several tours in Switzerland, where he headlined their annual Albesquestli Music Festival.
